Biography
Kerry Howell (Project lead) is Professor of deep-sea ecology at the University of Plymouth and Plymouth Marine Laboratory (PML). Kerry has expertise in use of robotic and autonomous platforms, seafloor imagery acquisition and analysis, and predictive modelling. She is co-lead of the UN Ocean Decade Challenger 150 Programme, a global initiative to map life in the deep ocean. Kerry is working with the global research community to standardise data collection, processing, and management. Kerry’s research has supported the design of national and international marine protected area networks.
